Earn 600 BA Avios for taking a survey

www.rewardsforthoughts.co.uk

Same company that does the United and Jetblue programs. I just completed the introductory survey for 600 miles. ^

Note that according to the program FAQ, it's for UK residents only. Which is a bummer because I'd rather collect Avios than the US options currently available from SSI.

Thanks for the post

How will they know if you're a UK resident or not? I just clicked the link from a Japan based mobile and it said Avios. I can also log into a UK VPN from home if necessary.

BA knows the nationality of your BAEC account and could decline to deposit points into accounts registered outside the UK.

I registered for this but never received the confirmation email. I wonder if that is because I am in Germany and did it here, even though my BAEC account is UK based. Or maybe I should do it again with a different email address, one which is British!

I have the same, didn't receive the confirmation email. When trying via forgot password? It says thatthe computer doesn't recognize my email adresss. However, when trying to register again, it says that there is already an account made with these details ;)

Maybe it just takes a few hours...

My 600 Avios posted 2 days after taking the initial survey.

rafatmit Aug 8, 2015 9:23 am

Hah, I did this and earned 600 Avios. And then it invited me to take a second survey and offered me *50* Avios for a 13-minute survey.

twoplustwoequalsfive Aug 8, 2015 12:22 pm

I have been trying to complete registration/activate the account but no matter what post code I use (UK postcode or otherwise) it always throws an alert saying that it is invalid. I used the random uk address generator. Anyone else running into this problem?

With the SSI/Opinion Outpost survey panels, the general rule of thumb is that you can keep trying for surveys until you complete five surveys across their panels (example- a USA user could do 3 United, 1 Spirit, and 1 Jet Blue survey in a day or some other combination among those programs) or until they run out of surveys that potentially match your profile.

Weekdays generally have a decent number of surveys available and Sunday is the slowest survey day of the week.

Eight minutes in (plus 10 minutes for completing the registration questions):

"This is not the survey for you"

There were so many questions along the way that I don't have an idea what the poison pill was. I think I hit the wall when I said I don't know anyone with COPD, dementia, eclampsia etc. Alas. I was offered a chance at the prize and another survey that started with that question.

ETA: Four surveys in, so far. Current blockage is this:

"Using the scale below, please show how well informed you feel about managing your own investments"

...but no scale appears. No way through or around it - back, reload, rinse, repeat, relaaaax etc. Alas. But the good news - possibly for this thread - is every time I am bounced, the new offer is for 600 Avios as if I'm a virgin. :)

Given the recent BAEC/Avios exploits I'm not really keen on giving both my BAEC # and personal information to an external company.
The website looks very amateurish as well.

beachmouse Aug 10, 2015 10:44 am

Parent company is a long established survey/research company that just don't spend much on their web sites. Started with United miles with them (Opinion Miles Club) I think two years back and have never had an issue with them, and Opinion Outpost proper goes back further than that.

Biggest annoyance is getting DQed from surveys fairly late in the screening process, but that happens with all the survey sites.

MileageAddict Aug 11, 2015 6:31 am

Unlike jetBlue and United which post immediately after completing the survey, British Airways takes 2-3 days.
