Have you had this MyPoints problem?
Today I went to check my account balance at the MyPoints sight. After I entered my user name and password, the next page came up and said, "Welcome, Dan". That's not my name. Then I clicked on the weekly points page and it finally said, "Welcome, Nancy". Last week I got a "Welcome, Suzanne." Dan and Suzanne must be getting the points I know I've earned but haven't been credited to me. Those rats!
I've emailed MyPoints about this, but just wondered if any of you have gotten this name discrepancy.

I don't share my computer with anyone, so it can't be that. I received a standard form letter from MyPoints member services today telling me how to refresh my member key. I had already signed in to check my account, an act which automatically refreshes the member key. I've sent a reply to MyPoints to ask for more info, but just wondered if this has every happened to anyone else in the MyPoints program. Thanks for your responses, nevertheless.

This happened to me, only once, and at that time there wasn't any other MyPoints account on my computer. When I got to the next screen (I forget now if it was earn, check account, whatever), it had my name, so I didn't do anything. Now that we have two accounts on this computer, I have to delete the cookie before it will let me change users. Anyone know if this is normal?
My first post after lurking a while, and want to say thanks everyone for all the earning opportunities I've seen. Since I don't travel much I have to scratch for miles and ya'll have sure helped.

I had that problem several times but it seems to have gone away for now. But now when I try to check my account balance, I get the message that my account is disabled.

MilesNut--I agree. My email file cabinet is full of emails back and forth to them. I keep saying I'm not going to bother with them anymore, but I keep going back. I guess I'm going to have to start a MyPoints Anonymous group...

The name problem is one that I think was solved within Mypoints.
For anyone with more than 1 account on a computer, I suggest you bookmark the REMOVE MEMBER KEY link under the Member Services category. Then, go to that link first, it removes the key (you dont have to manually delete the cookie) and takes you to the main signup/login screen. Login, your cookie is refreshed and off you go.
Alternatively, with Netscape you can have more than 1 profile, so you can have one for yourself and another for the spouse, partner, kid, etc. Then each one simply goes to their profile and the cookies are separated, no need to remove or refresh.
about disabled accounts, I saw that in another forum (www.mycoupons.com - shopping boards- reward programs) and people there that had the problem were able to get back in by refreshing their member keys, so give that a try.
and I'll be joining that mypoints anonymous gathering...
