My final word on the monarchy debate, honest (if I go on much more CATMAN will send me one of his 'Nancy' warnings!).
Justin, I respect your opinion. Your people faught and won a war liberating them from a monarchy. My people live in a constitutional monarch, and we love it.

My best upgrade was on the lowest cost Vacation Package NW had to offer to Bangkok. I was called at Zero-dark-thirty and informed my outbound leg that morning had been canceled and that they were going to move me to Delta as far as San Fran and then back onto NW. I had already been upgraded to 1st on domestic legs due to elite status but found myself in the middle seat in the last row on Delta. At Dallas, I got off and called NW Gold line. Not only did they get me to the Twin Cities instead of SFO in first, they upgraded me to Business for the 12 hour leg to NRT and the 6 hour leg to BKK. Return also found me in Business. It is the best I have ever done for a $537 international trip which included hotel! - Bob
