Does it matter where I create an Air Miles account and retroactively collect my Air Miles?

Yes it does. All programs are different, different earning rates for different airlines, different rates to redeem awards, and different status levels/benefits.

Also note that not all programs will allow retro-claims and may have limitations on how far back you can claim.

The T&Cs from this latest offer indicate you cannot have an account (e.g. an Infinite Visa card) with them for the last 6 months to be eligible for the offer.

So if I've got a Visa Infinite First Class (the black one, TD's own miles program), I'm ineligible for the signup bonus on the AP Infinite?

I think you are referring to the AMEX Membership Reward 40K sign-up bonus with FYF on the Business Gold Rewards card. 1 AMEX MR can be convert to 1 Aeroplan, so that the 40K Aeroplan.

Great Canadian Rebates is now offering the TD Aeroplan Infinite Visa FYF with 25,000 Aeroplan points when you spend $1,000 in the first three months, and $50 cashback.

Just search for TD in the merchants on GCR. Happy flying!

The other problem is I keep on getting the message every time I try to apply:

If you already have a TD Profile and been signing in to it, try select the option where you will create a new profile. That is why I got it working for myself.

Hopefully someone can help me out with a CC dilemma. Just trying to see which will give me the most bang for my buck.

I have an AMEX Plat and since those points can be transferred to either Aeroplan or Skymiles at 1:1, that covers SkyTeam and *A.

I'm looking to cover ground with oneworld and can't decide whether to go for the RBC BA Visa or the RBC CX Visa:

I can spend $30k annually but that means giving up the AMEX Platinum. I'm only keeping the Plat because of the lounge access and the $200 annual travel perk; both have been great.

Apparently the Avion Infinite Privilege Visa has an income requirement of $200k? LOL.

AMEX transfer to Skymiles at 1:0.75.

Crap. Well I guess I can get the CapitalOne Delta Gold card. No annual fee and 2 miles/$1 redemption.

Trying to maximize my purchasing power.

Amex also transfers 1:1 to BA, so you've got Oneworld covered there.

Have you tried submitting the application in Internet Explorer? I found I kept getting an error when I was trying to do it in Google Chrome.
