Isn't that the same thing a few posts above?

Yes, same-ish but this one goes until August 31, not June 28th as that one does. And that one has a $500 minimum spend to get the 15,000 whereas mine only says 'on your first purchase'. Not that $500 is a big deal but...

Anyway, here is the link: https://www.cibc.com/cc/en/agioffer/?tid=2013384

That one doesn't have spend for the 15,000 points but rather a $500 spend for the annual fee rebate. Nice find, though.

Ah, I didn't read it that carefully. Like I said, $500 isn't really a big deal anyway but if you don't plan to really use it, one small purchase is even better. I applied and will cancel before the annual fee is due next year. I just read that the fee for the additional user is waived too if you add them at the time of application. I didn't add my husband in but wish I had. The fee isn't waived if you add a user later :(

Oh well, I do all the spending anyway :p

can't find Business app

Both my wife and I have 2 Alaska Airlines credit cards each. We waited about 3 years from the first application to the second application and collected 50,000 miles each. You do have to pay the yearly fee on each card but we have 4 companion ticket.

A great deal is using your Alaska Airlines miles on American Airlines. They discount mileage to Europe Oct. 15 - March 15th for 40,000 miles instead of the usual 60,000 miles

You can also obtain both a personal Choice Privileges credit card
and business Choice Privileges credit card. This is currently worth 24,000 points plus 24,000 points for a total of 48,000 points. Choice usually has a promotion going where you earn 8,000 points after staying at a Choice hotel twice. Check their website for specific details.

The real value is using these points for hotel stays in Europe. A 225 euro rate for a hotel room in Rome can be reserved for 10,000 points. Thats 1 Euro equals about $1.40 Canadian.

Aeroplan miles are very difficult to redeem so I only use it when collecting points at Esso, Home Hardware, etc.

Any idea about the business version application?I cannot find it.Can you assist me by providing the link? Thanks.I already have the personal one (I am on my 2nd churn).I notice the redemption options are pretty sad.Seems like the selection of GC's has lessened.

I looked up & down as well; I don't see any Choice card "for business".

sailingman22 had posted about successfully obtaining 2 Choice cards, one for personal and one for business. I believe it's the same card. It would not be unheard of for MBNA to consent to issuing 2 of the same card to a cardholder.

Choice Privileges busines credit card

There is no application that I know of for a business card. I called MBNA and requested a second Choice Priveleges Credit Card saying I was going to use it for business rather than personal. They took part of the credit limit from my first Choice CC and used it for my new "business" card. I think both now have $4,000 limits which is fine with me since I only use them for booking Choice branded hotels.

I did not see any spending or pay for staying requirements on their new promotion but I still did a purchase and paid for a stay just in case. The 24,000 miles are waiting to be posted later this month.

My wife applied for her second Choice cc and was accepted. She is now waiting to receive the card and use it to get 24,000 points.

It’s also worth $225 in Wal-Mart GCs, which is not a bad option either (especially for those mile rich, cash poor, like me).

EDIT: Further, affiliate links may come out for this offer, like they did for the 50K offer, after a few days. If that's the case, GCR should have the offer in addition to their normal $60 rebate.

EDIT 2: My response was to the analysis in the blog entry linked to in the earlier post, that mia rightfully removed. In summary, 60K BW points could be worth 12K miles, or $225 Wal-Mart GCs - the latter would be my preference.

The link that Finkface posted says nothing about minimum spend. It says annual fee rebate and 15K miles on first purchase. Am I missing something?

BTW the equivalent link (i.e. no minimum spend, Aug expiry) for the AeroGold (non-Infinite) is https://www.cibc.com/cc/en/agoffer/?tid=2013383# and for AeroGold biz is https://www.cibc.com/cc/en/asboffer/ (need to figure out the relevant "tid").

I don't see anything in the small print about minimum spend. The $120 fee is rebated back, rather than refunded, so you'd need to apply the rebate to your spending. I read that to be the minimum spend is $120.

It certainly depends on how much you value 12000 miles... if you value them at 1cpm, it actually might be better getting the 225 walmart gc's and then liquidating them for cash.

60,000 Best Western points is worth...

To sum up, here are the alternatives:

60,000 Best Western points
=
• 2 to 3, maybe 4 Best Western hotel nights, OR
• $225 in gift cards (with 1,500 Best Western points left over), OR
• 12,000 Aeroplan miles now, OR
• 14,000 Aeroplan miles if you can wait... and if Aeroplan runs another top-up offer in the future.

Important:
$2,000 minimum spend required, within about 2 months tops, to get all 60,000 BW points

You gotta spend $2000 to get the 60,000 points though, basically in three months by the time you get the card too.

Is this 'tid' unique per application? I.e. can multiple signup using the same exact offer link and still be eligible for the promotion?
