Decide between Hilton and Marriott
I will travelling to Mooresville NC for the next 5-6 months on business (Arrive Monday, fly home Thursday). I have Hilton Gold, and Marriott Platinum status.
I previously thought the Marriott would be a better chain to stay at for the next few months due to the Hilton point devaluation. Can anyone confirm my logic? All the hotels in the area are the same price.
I have been staying at a Spring Hill suites and have been moderately satisfied. The hotel is a little bit run down, but it is good enough. I am primarily concerned with reward redemption, as I am in my hotel room for about 2 hours a night.

Looks like you have about 100 nights. For Marriott, assuming its $100/nt and you are plat that would be about 150K points, 200K with the card. Almost enough for a trip reward which is the sweet spot of their redemption (7 nights plus ff miles).
I'd lean that way, depends on how you like to redeem. The AXON gutting takes the sweet spot out of HHonors.
