Which miles to use: BDL (SEA) ANC?
I hope this isn't off-topic: I have a hodgepodge of points (50K MR, 40K Flexpoints, 50K United, 130K Rapid Rewards and 30K Thank You) and I'd like to take a trip in August from BDL to ANC with a possible stopover in SEA. There are 4 of us, so I am trying to be creative so I will not have to fork over cash for some tickets. I was thinking of using the RR miles to get us from BDL to SEA then transfer my MR points to delta to use on Alaska Airlines for round trips between SEA and ANC. Anything better you can recommend?

Prob get better value xferring MR to BA and then using for AS for SEA to ANC. I believe RT is only 20k avios from SEA to ANC. You could do 2 tix that way and 2 tix on United RT from SEA to ANC.
Also, July is a better time to visit ANC. August has been rainy the last few years, almost like is switch is flipped on the 1st day of the month.

Use Southwest from BDL to SEA.
Prob get better value xferring MR to BA and then using for AS for SEA to ANC. I believe RT is only 20k avios from SEA to ANC. You could do 2 tix that way and 2 tix on United RT from SEA to ANC.
