Reward flights with connection more expensive?
Hi All,
Am I right in my assumption that reward flights to a certain destination would require to pay more tax than direct reward flights to the same destination?
Apologies for the dumb question!

It dependsn on the destination, where you start, and where you connect. I can think of a few examples where it was cheaper to book a flight with more connections, but for the most part nonstop flights are cheaper (particuarly domestic ones in the U.S.)

It may sometime also be more expensive in terms of miles.
With British Airways miles, you pay per segment you take.
With other airline programs such as American Airlines and United, you pay based on origin and destination as long as your ticket routing is legal. With United, "destination" is sometimes defined loosely...
