This may be long. Sorry.
I visited these forums the first time about 2 years ago. I learned a lot and really benefited from the wealth of knowledge here. I ended up trying my hand at some of the techniques and was successful at scoring some pretty good points
. For the past year, I haven't really visited the site and just recently checked on it. It looks like there is not as much of the "in your face" good deals any more, namely the Chase Sapphire (which I still have). Anyway, it seems like most everything now is written in a secret code so that lurkers can't come and get the good stuff
. That's fine, but I really don't have the time to do that kind of detective work and that's probably good news to most of you regulars. One less person to steal all my goodies, right? Anyway, it doesn't upset me. I have just realized that maybe I'm not cut out for this line of work. It is after all, work sometimes. But I do need a little advise from those who may still be reading this.
I have about 250k points left with my chase cards and I really don't think that redeeming the points for cash would be the most benefit. If you had that many points and didn't really plan on churning or gaining more, what would you do? That may be a tough question, but I've had those point for over a year and I really need to do something with them. Thanks!

Well, where would you like to travel to? That many UR points gives you some good options wherever it is.

Before everyone here suggests Bali and Samui, I would strongly research where you want to go.
The best deals are things with stopovers - a la US-stopover in Europe - Asia - US.

... or trade them for cash/ticket. That many miles is worth a lot more to someone that wants to fly overseas even if you don't.
I would even try Craigslist. I would NOT "sell" the points - just "buy" a ticket for someone.

Sure there could be potential issues but I believe people are good.

I just think it would be safer to trade with someone you actually know.

Perhaps, but the cash redemption is terrible so it might be a better option for the OP

Looking at the OP, redeem the 250k for flights man! you could circle the world 4 times if you spend them correctly.....

Can you redeem for merchandise? I have 300k in mileage plus and I'm waiting for next MacBook Air. Or is a ticket better?
