Points.com Account Locked for Audit Purposes
All,
I am a new user to Points.com attempting to convert Aeroplan miles to US Airways for my honeymoon. I created an account on points.com and added a few of my frequent flyer and rewards accounts. No transactions were initiated. Several days after opening my account and adding my FF accounts, I was unable to log in, and received the message, "Email cannot be verified." I chatted with a points.com representative who said my account has been locked for "audit purposes". No other reason was given. The representative said she would email me soon with a decision about whether my account could be reinstated.
I received that email several days ago from points.com saying, "We apologize for any inconvenience that this mater has caused you. However, further to your inquiry about accessing your Points.com account, I regret to inform you that at this time we are unable to grant your request as our auditing team has determined that your account cannot be reinstated."
I am unable to obtain ANY information on why this happened or how to get my account reinstated. I tried creating an additional user name with the same frequent flyer miles, but was unable to in the points.com system since it the FF numbers are "tied to another points.com member" AKA me.
Has anyone ever received this message from points.com and have advice as to how I can get my account reinstated OR how to align my rewards numbers to a different points.com account?
Thanks.

I don't have any direct advice about the situation but I'm genuinely curious why you would want to do the conversion at all.
Why not just book the USAirways flights using Aeroplan directly?

AC can be converted to US at a loss of about 15%. Take into account the generally cheaper award chart and no fuel scamcharges and you're still ahead despite the loss.

25% loss in most points.com accounts, with the exception of some that seem to be grandfathered at the better rate.

Were any of the ff miles accounts held under differerent names? That would be one way to frost Cardinal Fang's cookies.
