I've done it a few times. It's gotten harder over the years, but it still works fine.

The other is a grandfathered old Optima platinum card.

Interesting thread !!! I find it very useful. Should it be a sticky?

Saga Club (Iceland Air) can transfer to another account (50,000 max at one time - 100,000 max per year) for a small fee. I don't recall what the fee is.

The fee is 3000ISK per transfer, or $23.85 at current exchg rates.

It seems this is specifically a list of programs that don't charge for sharing/transferring. If so, it might be helpful to add that language to the title.

EVA Evergreen - Members may transfer miles to other members at no charge. However, transferred mileage cannot combined with recipient's own mileage or other third party mileage, so seems to negate the value of doing so. I've never been clear about why this is offered when a member can simply book an award ticket for the other person.

Etihad Guest - Family membership. When anyone enrolled in your Family Membership travels with EY or partner airline, 100% of miles (RMs) earned are transferred to Family Head's account, including any bonus miles. Each member continues receiving 100% of tier miles (EQMs) and personal tier benefits, so still eligible for promotion to silver and gold.

Friendly bump to see if anyone has something to add.

You could add Choice under hotels, but it's a complicated to summarize (officially it's only certain kinds of relatives, but there are apparently workarounds), but here's a short thread you could link:

Sun Country airlines based in MSP allows up to ten Ufly Rewards members to pool points together. I know, it's a small carrier, but it is pretty nice for those of us able to take advantage of it.

Finnair (AY) - 20€ fee/transfer between members
Scandinavian (SK) - for fee transfer xx €/1000 points

IHG - for fee transfer (worthless, costs about the same as outright buying)

To my knowledge all hotels programs allow one to redeem for others. So the choice clause seems unusually harsh. I was hoping to list programs that allow sharing for free or at a good discount.

Is this Finnair E20 regardless of the amount? For the others I am looking for free or cheap ways to transfer. Almost all programs allow transfers, so this thread is to list those that free/cheap.

I have converted post #1 into a Wikipost. This should make it easier for people to update.

The same is true for Hyatt (when using points, but not when using a free night certificate).
