Miles transfer

Good morning, I wonder if you can help me. I have almost 30000 miles with Ethiad, worked in Abu Dhabi for a year but I left and I am in London. I can accrue on AA, just doing that. I will mostly fly LON-ITALY, with the occasional asian holiday once a year. Question is, can I transfer these miles into Advantage? I also have over 20000 with Delta. Thank you.

you cant necessarily transfer into AA, but you can definitely use them as partners.

LONDON-ITALY should be able to be done on Etihad.
Actually, Iberia would be your best bet. just call up Etihad and ask for the amount of miles required for LHR-Rome

about your 20,000 delta miles. Those really cant do much because delta has ridiculous redemption rates. you'd have to find a crazy saver award to use that.

also, you'll have to use up your etihad points or use them in conjunction with an AAdvantage award later on when you decide to go on vacation

You may also be able to trade them via coupon connection for AA miles but I'm not sure what the requirements are to access that forum

Miles

Thank you. For the Delta miles I am not worried, last time I used them for a KLM. SIN-DPS economy ticket, I can do that again, not living in US anymore.
I have checked Etihad chart and it takes a lot of miles even for an economy.
Tomorrow I will be flying for a week end to BKK and I will be using AA account
