Trying for ST status, but it's pretty tough. I'm only gold with AA, so Aerolineas seems like a no go. I have US CP and AS MVP Gold, but I don't think those will do me any good. Is there any way to parlay my existing status into status that will be acceptable to Aerolineas, or any other decent track to Sky Team? I have some Air France flights in coach for which ST status would be helpful.

Looking for status match LH Sen (*G) to AAdvantage. Could I expect to get matched to Platinum? Is there a program?

Has anybody had recent success with the Aerolíneas Argentinas status match? I applied 10 days ago but I was notified I wrote twice to the address [email protected], as indicated on their page http://www.aerolineas.com.ar/en-ca/a...fioarpluselite (where there's no mention of a cut-off date for the status match) but never got an answer. After writing to [email protected] I was notified that the match is over...:confused:

You can get a challenge on AA regardless of your status on other carriers.

To answer my own question, UA refused to match my AS MVP status because I had a CO match in 2009. I'm moving away from SEA because of work, so will not need to fly AS anymore. Seems like a stupid move on UA's part because now I'll just give business to DL and AA and use my AS MVP status.

Etihad Gold Status Match

I called United to match my BA Gold(one world alliance emerald) status to United, but they would only give me United Gold. Shouldn't it be United Platinum?

It is what UA decide it is.

You can try again, maybe different agent offers more. Wouldn't be unusual for any call centre.

In my experience, AA has been pretty tame on this especially when the 2nd AA account was opened by Citibank. Merging accounts is handled easily as well.

I wrote several emails to try to convince them to match me to Platinum from AA Platinum. They were brief in their responses and insisted they could go no further than gold.

Well, those are both 50,000 flown mile levels - UA Gold and AA Plat.

hoping one of you might have some valuable input. Am about to go Platinum on AirBerlin this month with 100k flown. My travel is mostly in Germany, less so Europe, and occasionally further afield. I would like to get a Status Match to a Star Alliance carrier for lounge access.
From what I've read, LH is stingy with this - are there other SA carriers which may be more forthcoming?

Hello William,

You should easily get a status match with Turkish Airlines. They match to ELITE level anyone holding gold status with one of the airline of the 3 big alliances.

okay, thanks. I will give it a try, though i noticed at StatusMatcher that they had been denying AB Gold matches. Perhaps Platinum will have better results.

That would be because they won't match Oneworld Sapphire status, only Emerald.

+1 The same for me with AB Gold/TK.
Under the action on February 7,than EY changed conditions only for UAE residents, was achieved status match from AB Gold to Etihad Gold. The card has not arrived yet, but in the account is "matched EY Gold" and note: card dispatched.

I did the status match to Turkish Airlines a couple of months back, but have not received the physical card yet.

I will be flying UA on a trans-pacific flight in May and would love to have access to the lounges. Any suggestions on how to achieve that without the physical card on hand?

China Airlines Dynasty Flyer seems pretty generous. They've even matched A3*G in the past.

I have tried to match my A3*G and did not get any answeŕ whatsoever from Chîna AIrlines. Not sure I have sent the request to the right email adress ...

I think that there is somewhere on their website where you can print a copy of your card. The lounge may be able to check your TK status manually from that to allow access, but I can't guarantee it.

What would generally be the cutoff date this year for the matched status to last until FEB/MAR 2016? [specifically with USA airlines: AA, UA, AS, DL...]

As far as I've heard, A3 will not do any status matches. I don't know if "Kenji" knows something the rest of us don't, but if A3's started doing status matches, I'm going to be super hyped.

I requested for the card using the online form a couple of times, but still no card. Any ideas on getting the card?

I can't find it either. I may have been thinking of another airline. I did see that in your account information under "Card Transactions" (that is what Google Chrome translates it to, so you may see something else), there is a link for Lost Card Request. You might try that to get your card.
