Card Conversion and Loss of Future Bonus Question (Citi)
I have a Citi AA Amex I wish to cancel. Citi offered to convert this to a Citi Thank You card with 6k (6000) points on $300 spend.
If I take advantage of this, would I be excluded from a future Thank You points offer? I have never had a Citi Thank You card before but I might want one if a good offer comes around.
Your advice on what to do would be appreciated so I don't screw up a larger future bonus offer.

If you convert the card, you won't be eligible for bonuses for THAT PARTICULAR card. Which citi card is it? If it's the ThankYou Preferred for example, you WON'T be able to get a future sign up bonus for the ThankYou Preferred, but you WILL be able to get one for the ThankYou Premier, ThankYou Prestige, Citi Forward, etc. All your ThankYou points can be pooled together too if you have multiple cards.

Card Conversion and Loss of Future Bonus Question (Citi)
Thanks! I canceled the account and no card conversion at this time. I seriously did not need such a high total available credit considering I pay off each month and have ample available credit. I thought about converting to a no-annual fee card but decided against it in the end. Neither agent I spoke with would allow me to roll a portion of umm credit limit into an existing account.
