However, eBay fees have escalated, making it harder to a profit at something you are buying something at cost. Unfortunately, that is what we have to do to earn miles. I've got something going on and I'll trade with others who do, too. There must be some kind of PM system/clearinghouse where we can exchange this info. I'm willing to send scans of my mileage accts (minus the #, of course) showing my miles and name so you all know I'm bonafide. Something to prove trustworthiness--any ideas? |
I buy gold and silver and resell it.

Actually I am trying to replicate the mint with zero cost miles, including no transportation costs, as I did with the coins. So far I'm at $1.38 per 1,000 miles but slowing tuning the game to drive out all cost. Mainly doing it just to prove it can still be done.

Sorry, this was a thinly veiled reference to what I thought was a notorious enough incident and associated thread a few weeks (months?) ago. I even tried to mimic the style and choice of adjectives (looks like I misremembered the "golden goose" bit). Evidently it was only funny to me.
Here's the original: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...e-posting.html Apologies to all those who thought I was serious, no more PMs please :) |

Many, especially Home Depot sell for about face on eBay. You do take a slight hit for eBay & PayPal fees.

OP, be careful if you decide to sell gift cards on ebay. You have very little recourse & with the fees you are better off with plastic jungle or another reputable card site.
Reselling clothing can be lucrative but you have to do research. Brand name winter clothing, leather goods, etc can offer good margins in the right season. Check out your local thrift stores for that and for toys. You can often find good deals but you also have to become very familiar with what sells. |
