BR is in progress to become an official *A carrier hopefully early next year, and currently a partner with NH and UA that you can earn and redeem miles for flights. BR has many Taiwan-Mainland China but not intra-Mainland China routes. I did enjoy BR's service when I had a few times flying with it. BR and CI both have quite constrained rules in term of mileage expiration and redemption, so I would recommend to deposit the miles flown on BR or CI metals to their partners instead.

Thanks, I actually booked a trip using my Delta airline miles. It turned out I had to call China Southern in Los Angeles who found the award seat for me, then called Delta airline to tell them where to look.
