easiest way to calculate miles?
first, i did search as i'm sure this has been brought up a lot - but searching "calculate miles" et al produces far too many results to sift through...
so could someone please tell me the fastest, easiest way to calculate how many miles will be earned on any given trip? is there a simple tool used to calculate miles between airports?
thanks!

There are several. I made one and even have an advanced version that takes into account specific bonuses for FF programs and credit based on fare class, though it is somewhat limited to *A programs.
WebFlyer has one, too.
And there's always the Great Circle Mapper tool.

A nice theory, but I know for certain that the calculator on co.com pretty much sucks, especially when partners get involved. That's what motivated me to build the ones I have.

GC is what I've been using for years, and it's usually extremely close, but I've run into a few occasions where it was off by a small bit, which I noticed because, e.g., it told me a route was just under 22k, but when I went to book it as a xCIR22, the AA RTW desk said it was a few miles over 22k so I had to adjust the route.
It's fun to see the routes on a map as well as the miles.
