Still out today, but now they are posting an apology for substandard service! To think I was just going to post how wonderfully smooth and easy they'd been at this site. I'd requested two $20. Marriott gift certificates with the understanding it would be 2-3 weeks, and they came in five days!

Doc: With respect to the Marriott gift certificates from FreeRide--are these for dollars off of any room rate or are they somehow restricted? I couldn't find any detailed description on the FreeRide site.

Got on, finally, late last night!
Beckles - yes, as pgupta011 said- Under gift cert's - The $20. ones are a slightly better deal and the points are easy to come by!
TravelDave- Just like cash as far as I can see! They are a good deal so you book a lower rate and get the points and stay credit!

Incidentally, if anyone has not already signed up at www.freeride.com
It's a pretty decent site and you get points just for visiting too! Cheers!
Edited in deference to CATMAN, No referrals!

A strange but nice thing from FreeRide.
I got a large amount of point credits for problem creditng my WorldNet account with free months service.
Nice apology.
I'm wondering what prompted it. I only e-mailed them three times and called once and got an answering machine.
Now if any of you want to help one of your best Flyertalk buddies earn a few more points... the referral is: Mblancha1

Catman - you missed my earlier message. They have returned you back your points which they auto-deducted from your account but did not forward to AT&T. So essentially you were earlier being both billed by AT&T and having points deducted from your freeride account. So freeride is returning those points back to you, along with a 500 point apology.
