Looking to speak with a travel/points pro

Apologies to all if this is in the wrong forum.

I've been researching points programs and the practice of trading or buying rewards points/miles. For a novice like me, it seems like it can be a pretty complicated thing and if you're not careful, you could end up learning a not of costly lessons.

I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who might be willing to spend a few minutes "showing me the ropes", as it were. I have a handful of questions based on what I've read and I'm having a hard time making sense of everything.

Full disclosure: I do not work for anyone or any company that's connected to the travel or loyalty points industries. I'm a communications person from Toronto and I'm just looking for some expert insights. Send me a message and I'll be happy to give you a call, send you an email or whatever works for you.

Many thanks!

There are several people here who charge for that service.

You'll probably get a more thorough response if you simply post what you've learned so far, your travel goals, and your questions right here.

Then everyone can learn what you learn.

I have a similar post that I started here, where I've gotten lots of really great replies: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...questions.html

You can feel free to post your questions in that thread also, I don't mind at all.

Yes, post your questions here. I doubt anyone is going to contact you privately. We have a lot of experts & we keep each other in check. Also, welcome to FT!
