Hi everyone,

My wife and I (late 20s and US residents) are planning vacation this summer and we were looking into traveling somewhere exciting and reasonably priced. Currently, we are leaning towards Hong Kong and possibly another south east asian destination (maybe phuket?). We are available for most summer dates and plan to travel for approximately nine days. We would like to visit two destinations on our trip and prefer one to be more urban oriented and the other to be more tourist or beach like. I am seeking some advice on which city should be chosen as our second SE asian destination (besides hk) or if we should scrap this plan and go somewhere completely different. We would like the airfare and hotels to be completely paid by points. However, we are open to C&P for SPG hotel chains. I am open to all ideas and will appreciate anyone's input. Below, I have displayed our current point balance:

AA miles (me): 390,000
AA miles (wife): 140,000
BA miles (me): 35,000
BA miles (wife): 105,000
CO miles (me): 25,000
CO miles (wife): 75,000
HH points (me): 165,000
SPG points (me): 47,000
SPG points (wife): 47,000

Also, I don't really want to completely wipe out or AA or SPG point balances. Thanks.

And again, I appreciate your help.

I think we will probably fly F to wherever we go.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.601 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/417)

Redeeming BA miles on this trip will incur hefty fuel surcharges; redeeming AA miles won't.

Are you looking to travel in Coach, Business, or First Class? Depending on your starting point in the U.S., you might also consider redeeming for a distance-based oneworld award, rather than a series of one-way awards.
If you do opt to use one-way awards, you might also look into using your CO miles for the intra-Asia one way. (Be sure to check both the CO and UA award charts, in case they differ: CO miles can now be converted to UA miles on a 1:1 basis.)

AA- no free stop overs except for North America Gateway city, or you can do open jaw
CO- 2 stop overs or open jaw and stopover
