Hawaiian Airlines Churnable?

In the case of BOAHA+HOAHA, Churn and meet the straaaange caaaases as one can never have enough Hawaiian Miles and they can be transferred with no fee (think Swaparama). VA is less churnworthy - like BA you don't wanna go there (at least on their overpriced metal).

My fault, I meant that they DID have an annual fee, thanks for correcting me. So this means that both Hawaiian airlines cards are churnable? And if so, how long do you have to wait between them? And do you have to cancel them before re-applying?

Why not also add the AMEX gold rewards and the AMEX business gold rewards cards to your list. You can get them to match targeted promos for 175K amex points.

I flip flop them every year. Can't say exactly the minimum time to flipflop. Do cancel them, but then I have been known to multiflipflop on occasion, as when I concurrently held more than one SWA card to help the mint protect its dollars from thieving guards.:p

I doubt that you are able to have AMEX match targeted promo unless it was targeted to you.

Not anymore you can't...check the latest AMEX threads here. Some people were even promised the promos and aren't having them honored. I signed up under the impression that I'd get these bonus matches and nada.

If this question was geared towards me, I have the AmEx Gold Business Rewards card--I got it back in like March I think when they were offering 50K pts after a 10,000 spend within 4 mths. I also currently have the AmEx Premier Rewards Gold Card---got it with a 50K sign up bonus after $1000/3. ...also bumped it up to 75K after secure emailing them :D

Not so sure that is an accurate statement. Seems like AMEX has stopped honoring match/bumps a few weeks ago so it's definitely YMMV if at all viable .

I am still waiting 2 months or more for a match .

Question for the experts out there. I was wondering if I can do a churn now..
Here is my history in this churn game.

was approved in March:
Amex Platinum
Citi AA Amex
CapOneVentureVisa
Chase CO MC
Barclays UsAir MC

mid-May: rejected for Amex Premier Gold and rejected for Citi AA Biz Visa.

So, it has been over six months. I was thinking of doing my second run of applications next week, say five or so. my credit scores are roughly 740 across the board with approx 11 enquiries which includes those above. Anybody have any advice/suggestions?????

Just FWIW - that Chase United Explorer card 60k offer seems to have been at least postponed until November (think the current offer is 40k). Robyn

Newbie here - How do you secure email them if a better offer comes along right after you were approved?

Any particular reason why you include the USAir? The bonus doesn't seem that lucrative and they can sometimes give you a lesser card with a lower bonus.

The US card from Barclays is actually the BEST deal now. You get 40K miles first use, fee waived, 5K discount on every US award, priority boarding, lounge passes, and best of all Barclays only pulls from TransUnion, giving a break to the Experian pulls most of us have too many of. Even the lower level US card now has the 40K bonus.

Also the US card is very churnable. It's the new Citi AA churn of old.

I also put the CO biz card in my last churn as it's disappearing soon and the Hyatt as it's spend terms are changing (old 1st purchase link still available two weeks ago). I may soon do the AirTran as it's disappearing. I'm waiting on the UA Explorer as it'll be around.

After you've done many non-churnable cards it's important to grab disappearing ones.

Where is the first purchase link for the Hyatt card , versus the spend one ?
The post that had an A Or B choice seems like the A link for no spend brings me to $ 1k spend for second night free.

I applied and was approved in time , but want to apply for my wife and would prefer the no spend if still available.

Can't find it now but I just used it 2 weeks ago. It may well have disappeared in the meantime as all links I could have used go to the new offer or expired. (I took a pdf of the offer I applied under.)

Amex will not match. I got hosed on this offer. They sent me a notice today that after a review of the issue (I had to escalate it to the powers that be), they determined I had not been invited and would not receive the bonus. This was despite receiving a secure email confirmation that I would receive the bonus.

Trey33 - Welcome to FlyerTalk!

After logging in to the credit card company's website, there should be a secure email center where you send and receive messages to the company. Log in and look around for it. It should be easily visible from your account summary page.

Hi, new to churning here but do credit pulls drop every quarter? Is that why it seems the OP is churning in 3 month intervals? I recently got denied for the old 75k citi card for toomany transunion pulls....wondering when those drop off

To the best of my knowledge, credit pulls on each of the three bureaus will only come off from your credit report after 2 years. However, most of the lenders (credit card companies) pay close attention to inquiries within the past 6 months. For people have established credit history (in OP's case), I think banks might just only care about if you are actively seeking for credit in the past 90 days since it maybe a sign of financial distress. It is also said that recent hard inquiries (within 12 month) on your reports do effect your credit score, but the effects of inquiries over 1 year old will be minimal.
