Advice for an Atlantan - cards and loyalty programs

Hi FT. Been lurking for a few months and really like the forum.

I am working to get myself and a lucky guest to Europe next year and use as many points as possible.

I am Delta Silver, almost IHG plat, I am Marriot Silver and Hertz 5 star Gold.

My credit is good - 756 according to creditkarma. Its important to me obviously so I dont want to get too crazy with the cards.

I travel a fair amount for work (40-50%) but mostly in the Southeast. I fly delta due to its monopoly over the ATL airport. I am silver and on track to make gold by the end of the year just with segments.

I just applied for the SPG amex yesterday since it is so popular among the FTers (instantly approved).

I plan to get the Amex Delta Reserve for my main card in December or January and start rackin up the Skypesos - (I will not have to pay the $450 myself)

So, after meeting my spend with SPG, i plan to just load up on skypesos with a delta reserve card since i travel with delta - I enjoy the sky club and status benefits.

Should I try to grab something else now - or at the same time I get the reserve card? Any advice/discussion/criticism is appreciated.
