looks like they've caught on. I know there was a guy posting that Costco refuses to let him purchase things now because he returned just about everything he bought previously.

What about the 6x Hilton AMEX?

Steve in Olympia Aug 23, 2011 10:02 pm

Keep in mind that the purchase of Costco Cash Cards is not eligible for the 2 percent rebate received by Executive Members of Costco, for what its worth......

But I believe the spend would be worth 2% though?

If I'm trying to hit the minimum spend on a AMEX Biz/PRG card, Costco cash cards would count towards that, right? Thanks!

For big spenders, Costco has the "black" card - Executive Membership that returns 2% on purchases made through cashier (online purchase and gas are excluded). It costs $100 ($50 more than the regular membership) but has the potential to put money back to your pocket.

I signed up for this - they were running a promotion where Costco guaranteed that you would get at least $50 back in rebates - if your check falls short of $50, they make up the difference. Plus, they gave me a $10 (or maybe $15, I can't recall) Costco gift card on the spot and approved me for a no-fee Costco AMEX that came with a $25 statement credit, and pays 5% back on fuel purchases, including gas purchased at Costco (+ some other stuff - I just use it for Costco gas and some purchases in the store, which draw a 1% or 2% rebate). Since Costco gas is so much cheaper than anything else around here (SoCal), the 5% back really knocks the price down.

Also, is there an AMEX reward shopping mall I can go there to link to Costco to buy stuff?
