Keep in mind the time frames for the spending requirements too. For example, we recently got the Sapphire and Delta cards which require to reach the spending limit in 3 months. We also each got the Citi 75k cards, but they need to be met in a 6 month time frame, so we're able to focus spending on the former cards then switch over to the latter.
You could push it a little if you know large future purchases you were planning on making anyway like buying a new computer to replace your old one.
