Mail from Mileage Plus Today
Today, I got a blue envelope in the mail with the words "Elite status" and "Free trip" on it. Obviously a marketing scheme.
The letter inside said that if I fly only one (1) full-fare economy, First, or Businesss international roundtrip, they will give me Premier status until 2-29-00 AND 25,000 bonus miles. There was a sheet enclosed for me to fill out to enroll in MP and a sheet describing Premier status and Star Alliance.
This is definitely one good offer, and I will unfortunately be unable to use this.
I am willing to send the promo materials needed to enroll in this promotion to anyone who is willing to trade it for a 1-segment, one-class, domestic upgrade OR six 500 mile upgrade certificates or the like.
If no one is willing to trade for that, I will send it to the first person who asks, for free.

"International," eh? The "full fare" requirement is the kicker, but I wonder if "SEL-TYO-SEL" or even "SEA-YVR-SEA" would qualify. It doesn't say "intercontinental" or "trans-oceanic" after all. Could be cheaper than a Lakers ticket.
