Best tool for FFers?

While doing some researching for Award Nexus, I found that KVS and EF were discussed in this forum as well. Is there a thread that compares these three services and that can guide me to making the best choice? It's a bit confusing.

There are several KVS v EF threads. AN is newer, more specialized, and doesn't directly compare.

FT member Lux had recently put together a set of comparison charts, which you can find at:

The chart doesn't include AwardNexus, which compares more directly to KVS as it screen scrapes some of the same airline websites for Star Alliance and Oneworld to get their award data, and some additional ones as well. I use AN it as it has more search options and a free version available for FlyerTalk members. It only requires a web browser to use, not a download. Something else to consider in the mix.

Sounds like ANA is where its at.. but sometimes knowing too much is upsetting..

So I go for the regular AE website, and talk to the agent regarding actual booking possibilities..
