What's the worst thing for which you've gotten miles or points?

A couple months ago I had to pay $600 when my car was towed (thanks City of San Francisco!) and I put it on my SPG Amex.

Damn! And I thought I got ripped off when I got towed and impounded for $250 (yes, I got the miles too!).

Another one I wasn't happy about was paying $900 in federal taxes. The miles made it easier to swallow.

Boots with clear heels (the type seen at gentlemen's clubs) for a company event. Paid with a personal card then got reimbursed by corporate. Got 60 AAdvantage miles. Not the worst but the closest to family friendly.

Paying a speeding ticket after settling with the crown prosecutor. :eek:

An operation for my Hemorrhoids several years ago :eek:

Medical marijuana. Oh wait, that was the best thing I've gotten miles for! :D

2K for my bathrooms, 4K for my daughter's Europe trip, and parking ticket.

I called United once to whine about being stuck in the middle seat on a flight - had 1K status at the time. They threw me some miles (4000, maybe more?) - and I was able to move to a better seat by the time check-in rolled around.

Not a bad thing - but I do feel a little guilty about the level of entitlement.

Speeding ticket back in the 90s. I like to think of it as getting miles for flying.

Do they take credit cards in Pahrump?
