Need Help Making the Most of Award to Europe
Hi all,
I also posted this on the OnePass board, but then thought I might also get help here.
Have seen many of you help new folks figure things out, and am hoping for same.
I live in Houston, and want to go to London on June 20th, stay for about a week, then go to Frankfurt for 5-6 days, then back home. Any and all suggestions for making the most of CO award travel is welcome and appreciated. Have read several threads where suggestions were made to take advantage of stopover allowance, but I don't really understand how to do it or make the most of it.
One poster replied and talked about stopover and open jaw both being allowed, but I don't know the definition of each and how they differ. Then I read a reply to another poster saying that both stopover and open jaw were allowed together on the same award. Really confused, but know many of you are pros at this. Would love some specific suggestions.
Can anyone help me structure the reservation to make the most of the miles used? I will be paying for my own ticket, and using miles for DH and 2 sons.
Besides departure date, and arrival city (going to watch tennis at Wimbledon) my trip is pretty flexible. Might also consider a couple of days in Edinburgh before Frankfurt, if that variation looks possible. Can you help??? Thanks in advance.
