Do not call. DO NOT CALL! REPEAT: DO NOT CALL!

Based on this thread and my own experiences, chances are you will get the bonus and almost certain your first year annual fee will be waived.

But, no one at Amex customer service is going to predict the future for you and calling may well set off alarm bells.

DO NOT CALL!
Do you have a link for this?

Still 0 bonus miles since I met $3K spend on Jan 15 (statement closed Jan 19). It'll be 4 weeks this Saturday(Feb 12), so I think it's out of normal window, guess have to contact AMEX. Anyone else in similar situation?

The other DL card's 45K bonus miles posted quickly, in less than 2-3 weeks, all miles posted.

35000 bonus miles just posted to my account. The 10000 welcome bonus posted a couple weeks ago. What I find interesting is that my statement (during which I met the $3000 spend) doesn't close until 2/13, so my spend miles didn't post, but my bonus miles did!
Thanks Delta and AMEX!

Got my 35K additional miles this week too after being somewhat confused when that first 10K showed up.

Although now that I think of it, the one thing I haven't seen is 5K for my additional card member (Mrs FTF)...not mentioned in the offer but when I applied by phone (due to the web site problems in taking applications), the CSR told me I'd get 5K for her as an additional card member, so I did it. Guess I'll have to look into that.

Many thanks to the OP and others, and especially to whoever it was who cross-linked this thread to a discussion about the SunTrust debit card. ^ I ended up getting the miles for both on the same day.

thanks
I just received an email offering me 25k/25k for first spend/$1k spend (three months) plus two sky club passes. Expires 3/05/11. Appears to be targeted because when my wife tried, the offer was only 25k total. Link that worked for me is here: https://www.deltaamexcard.com/offer/DT8TT22X.aspx

I already have a personal delta amex. If I were to go ahead and apply for a business delta, will I still receive the bonus miles? My personal card is still open. Should I close it before applying for the business? Will I still receive bonus miles for the business even though I received miles for the personal...if I recall correctly i rec 30k as a bonus in may '10.

You can receive both. They are distinct products.

Sigh...had 10,000 post for both personal and biz cards. A month later, I am stuck waiting for the other 35,000 from each.

It seems like it's a norm for AMEX to not posting bonus automatically. About half of the promos we(DW & me) did with AMEX, I had to email them to sort things out. Recently AMEX seems to stop listing bonus ID on application's T&C (like the Delta ones), this will make it harder to track/argue.

AMEX Biz Gold(2) had to email for both accounts
AMEX PR Gold(2) 1 posted automatically, 1 had to email
AMEX Biz Delta(1) 1 posted automatically
AMEX Personal Delta(1) 4 weeks now, and 0 mile

so 2/6 post automatically, 3/6 need email, 1 not resolved yet.

But it seems Chase and AMEX are taking over the credit card promo world now(well, besides Citi AA promo which I'll be denied as not a first-time cardholder), so have to live with it

Thanks for the very informative data point.

What I am most concerned with - and what has my hands tied at the moment - is that I don't want to "attract attention" to my account by reaching out. I opened both a Biz and Personal around the same time. Can they get frisky and challenge me for proof of small biz ownership? Or is contacting them safe, in your view?
