what rewards does it offer? don't think it's a better card than the SPG Amex. i have a few relatives who seem to enjoy using their Amex points for travel...but i've yet to see any specific redemption rates.

They don't seem to be pushing the Green card lately.

If you want an AMEX charge card, the Premier Rewards card is a better card with better bonus and has probably the same approval criteria as the green.

For an AMEX revolving card, look at the AMEX Starwood.

+1

For about the same fee, the SPG is far superior to the Green.

The Premier Gold is also a great product if you're using it for purchasing flights/groceries due to point multipliers... worth the higher fee.

I dont see the Green having any real distinct value anymore.

Green seems to off dropped of the planet.
I would keep looking around for 50-100k offers for PR gold.

So it is said you can just get the rewards points for only one amex charge card? then I should wait for the card with the maximum points such as the platinum?

The green card is for those who just want a charge card.
Green = 45$ For rewards = add 45$ fees = 90$
For 125 = gold card
For 175, Premier rewards, 25k bonus miles for spending 50k per year (250$ back)
For 125 = Biz Gold = 10k bonus with each year renewal + 25k bonus for 50k spend
10k for 125$ anyway, which pays for the card in miles

The green card is a very poor value. You are better off with Hilton (free), Cash back (free) or the SPG (65$) or the Surpass (75$), etc etc. Only use is for additional cards on a gold account.

You can earn as many points as dollars you can spend.

I believe the limits you are thinking about are when posters refer to not being able to earn the sign-up bonus points for the same card a second time.

They keep pretty good track of what promotional offers you have received in the past so if you apply for a card that is offering a 20,000 point bonus and you applied for that card previously and had received a 10,000 bonus, some posters are experiencing that amex only gives them 10000 of the current 20000 offer because they already received 10000 on a promo offer for that specific card. YMMV

If you have never had any of the cards before, and you applied for all of them and were approved for all of them, you would get all of the bonus points in the offers.

I have no charge card at all, so can I stack the membership reward points from all those cards as green, gold, gold premier, platinum, and business cards?

Other than getting the approvals, that should not be a problem. You want to be sure to delete your browser cookies to enable you to see the offers with free first year and bonuses. Otherwise it often sends you to an upgrade screen without the bonus. So be sure to read the application.
