Announcing Credit Pulls Database
Gleff OK'ed a double post and suggested the proper forum to list our credit pulls info would be in the Other Credit Cards forum.
It is helpful for card churners to determine beforehand which credit reporting agency may pull their credit for certain credit card application. We need to spread those inquiries around.
I have set up the database in the Other Credit Cards forum with a simple format for listing the credit info you have. Your personal score and outcome is of course optional, but helpful to others if you choose to complete it.
This group effort will replace the somewhat outdated credit pulls database at creditboards, com and will focus on travel award cards.
Check it out and add your data as completely as possible. The info will be helpful to you and your fellow churners.
Thanks
Ingy

To be clear, it's great that this is announced here. A 'cross-reference' if you will, rather than a cross-post.
It's important to underscore that this thread is not the place for discussion of credit pulls. That's the role of the thread linked to above.
The goal is to understsand which credit agencies are being used by which banks in which states so that members can better plan their credit card applications, for those looking to maximize approvals while spreading out those approvals across credit bureaus.
This is meant as a cross-reference/announcement only, this thread is not for discussion or substantive posts regarding credit pulls.

Great idea Rick, I too had noticed that the creditpulls database is increasingly out of date. One thing to consider is that I was recently discussing the decline in usefulness of the CreditBoards database with one of the mods over there and he mentioned that they were having issues with people posting false information. As a result new members were required to attain prior approval before being able to post their info. The downside of this is that when you introduce a hurdle to people posting info they lose interest.
Hopefully our community will be better about keeping things honest but just something to keep in mind. I will definitely head over to the new database on FT and post my inquiries sometime soon.

Excellent idea Rick. You had a blog post months ago about a creditboards database and I seem to remember briefly visiting the site but not signing up for membership. Keeping an up to date thread on flyertalk will be great for everyone.
