Which Program To Concentrate On - CO vs AA

Hello All,

Over the past few months, I've become addicted to earning miles, and now I want to focus on a single program to maximize awards.

I travel for business about 3-4 times a year, and the airline selection for trips is limited, so I can't bank on that for mileage accrual. I also travel for leisure about 3-4 times per year, domestically and internationally. Point being - I'll earn the majority of my miles through bonuses, spend, etc.

Right now I have 83k OnePass miles, 30k AAdvantage miles, and about 40k SPG points. Would it be worth it to pursue lifetime status with AA (through card spend, bonuses, etc)? Or should I stick with earning CO miles (I have 3 different CO cards, so earning is faster than AA).

I've heard the lifetime gold/platinum for 1mm/2mm at AA is going away in years to come, so I'm wondering if it would be worth it to direct my efforts there. I'm also aware of the CO/UN merger, so perhaps CO wouldn't be the best bank for my miles.

Any thoughts for a newbie to the game?

I'm in a similar situation as well. But since CO miles will eventually turn in UA miles after the merger, I look at it as AA vs. UA.
