that is not abuse.

You would actually need to move to DC. Marriotts here are under $50 w/ AAA and Hyatts are under $50 as well...

So you would pay 40% less for the same things. : )
So maybe you can do a award tix get VDBed, and reap the rewards... : )

As said in a previous post, I am staying sun-thurs nights for the next 3 weeks in Raleigh and am trying to maximize AA miles. Next week I am alternating b/w Hampton and Wingate. Getting HH Surpass intro promo of 2500 bonus HH per stay and doing this promo from wingate.

The week of the 25th, I have yet to make reservations, but I am probably gonna stay entirely at wingate to max out the promo. There is also a Hyatt and Comfort Suites in the vicinity. I would like to stay at the Hyatt to use this promo, but the rooms are a little pricey for my hotel budget. Room budget is $90 max before tax which wingate and hampton meet. Would the Hyatt Costco certs still make the Hyatt promo valid? They would bring the cost to within reason. Best suggestions?
It's a little extra work... if I'm staying the same hotel for several consecutive nights, I just reserve every odd night under one account and every even night under the other account. Every morning I check out and immediately ask them to check me back into the same room. Works every time.

I now do the same. I used to be a Hampton Inn kind of guy, but Hyatts seem only a tiny bit more, if more at all. I now have Platinum with them and will definitely seek them out when I travel.
