Use Miles to Europe with stopovers
Trying to plan late August trip to LHR but want to do a quick stopover somewhere (like TXL/CDG) on the way to LHR and the other city on the return back to BOS.
Have a lot of amex MR miles to transfer and about 90k in AA miles. What way is the best to to this on the min amount of miles. Have read about the xfr to ANA program, but not sure if that is the best.
Anybody find a good way to do this.
Thanks

AA does not allow stopover in Europe or any other places except gateways at North America when an international itinerary involves N America.
However AA is on one-way award system, so you can arrive in one city in Europe and return from another city from Europe.
Your travel period is peak season for coach AA award at 30K each way - if you can find that at this late stage.

Don't fly AC metal. Just use their program. :-:

Since you have MR, consider getting KVS or ExpertFlyer to search for flight availability.

As many will quickly tell you, Delta is tough to use miles on. However, if you are flexible with dates and willing to spend a ton of time looking for availability, DL allows stop-overs. It helps to route leg by leg and consider another stop in NA to get the flight you need.
