Transfer of miles

How many miles can be transfered into an SkyMiles account per year ?

Additionally... is it possible to transfer miles from account to another and then over to one more account or are you not able to transfer skymiles that have been transfered already ?

Maximum is 150,000. Here's the link to the delta site which spells it all out: http://dn.delta.com/skymiles/purchas...ansfer/landing

Even if it is possible I would be quite surprised were it a decent value. The transfer fees are usually exorbitant. Paying them twice would likely be crazy.

If the miles are in another account, it usually makes more sense for the person who has them to get an award ticket for the person who's going to travel. Fees for these transfers are absurd, considering the near-zero cost to the airline of processing the transaction. Do it only to top up an account for an award when there's no better way to get enough miles in time.
