Holy Crap Catman!
Just wanted to share this cool bit of info and attribute it to this forum...(I've made out like a banshee!)
Although it services my area, I haven't flown Delta in over a year. I will now because of the tips I've garnered close to 100,000 Delta SkyMiles in the past two months for things I would not have known about and was interested in anyway.
*25,000 from MCI - I live in Colorado but still got the deal! (plus about another 1,200 for using my new Delta Skymiles Gold Optima to auto pay my MCI bill and double miles on all other purchases until the end of June.
*45,000 from Diner's Feb 1 point = 1 mile
*1,000 bonus from AMEX Rewards Plus card (for transferring 1,000 MR)
*20,000 signing up for AMEX SkyMiles Gold Card (I'll get in 10 days and use it to buy the SkyGuide for 5,130 bonus miles
*5,000 for new ETrade account
*10,000 Healthy Choice (I help and donate to a church "soup kitchen" and the grocer near where I live had 1/2-off on Healthy Choice so I went to town. A generous member on this forum mailed me the "double miles" cert via snail. Granted, I'm gonna have to cut out all of those little UPS labels, but I've got "my people" to do that!)
It'll take a little time to get the MCI miles, 5 months, but certainly worth it.
This is in addition to 10,000 Worldperks miles, 5,000 miles on United from registering for "special" flight promotions and 23,732 miles from flights on Air New Zealnd and Ansett Australia - I didn't know I could use my Milage Plus before I left (another 1,268 flight miles and I'm "Preferred"!) and some upgrades on Continental.
Anyone else done well last few months?
Thanks all for the great tips!
Kudos

g'day

I have not flown DL in at least 3 years but here is what I have earned with them since since January 1999:
PlanetAll (36,000), Diners Club 2:1 Promotion (44,000), Healthy Choice double miles in May (at least 4,000) MCI (between now and another 4 months...25,000)
With no other effort, I will have 109,000 miles with an airline I don't even fly!!!!

OMNI: I only like to know why it was necessary to use my FlyerTalk name with that word.
Before reading further I felt this was a direct and personal attack on me. I would just title this "LOOK at all the miles I got!!!"
That word and myself are never ever associated.
I also have no idea why my name would come up in a topic like this.

arturo - there are many ways I've discovered to honor a man on my recent trip to the South Pacific. Sometimes it involves killing someone, sometimes just making faces at them. But since those aren't possible in cyberspace, I would suggest using the Great Man's name in a sentence for all to see. Just make sure the said sentence does not include the word "crap," as it may offend.
As in: Arturo your boat ashore, halelua....
You get the idea.
