Is 50 the new 25 (for CC bonuses)

It used to be standard that 25K was the bonus for a new card but then:

Chase: 100K for BA
Chase: 50K for UA
Chase: 50K for Marriott
AMEX: 50K MR points
AMEX: 50K Delta (required $10K spending)

Now Citi has gone to 30K and 35K.

There are several card I have never gotten before and am looking at. I was going to pull the trigger on the CO card, but am thinking of waiting it out.

What are others doing? Are you waiting for the 50K offers or taking the 30-35K ones if they have no annual fee and low spending requirements?

Or is it an indication that soon it'll cost 50k for a domestic RT ticket?

I thought, after the BA promo, that 100K is the new 25K.

The rest just realized they were behind.

Is the AMEX 50K MR points offer available publicly? If yes, can you please tell how to apply for it. Thanks.

It seems logical that point/mile devaluation will lead to inflation.

Personally I don't want to bother with churning on a regular basis. And the CC companies are anti-churning now. So for 25k I may not bother, but 50k or more it is still worth while.

Was targetted, my wife got it but I did not (with only a $500 spend too).
