Amazon and airline "malls" - points/$ spent
Anyone know if Amazon is affiliated with any of the online airline or hotel malls where you get x amount of points per dollar spent? I have looked at a few but haven't had any luck yet. I see borders and barnes and noble in a few but can't find amazon.
thanks for any help.

Amazon evidently thinks of their own site as a shopping portal and chooses not to participate in competitive portals. They explicitly prohibit referral sites from offering any type of incentives. You will not offer any person or entity any consideration or incentive (including any money, rebate, discount, points, donation to charity or other organization, or other benefit) for using Special Links (e.g., by implementing any rewards or loyalty program that incentivizes persons or entities to visit the Amazon Site via your Special Links).
You can earn British Airways miles by using the Chase Amazon.com VISA when shopping on their site:

just as a FYI if you are an AA member i shop barnes and noble through AA eshopping.com. you receive 3 miles for every dollar spent. also if you have not done so, currently you may earn 500 miles for signing up for AA eshopping. hope this is helpful.

Of course if you are a true miles whore like me (and proud of it) you buy a Barnes & Noble or Borders gift card from the US Air shopping portal (mine was during the 250% promo) and then use the card at another miles earning portal. That is earning me 16 miles per dollar, plus most have allowed using the weekly coupons from B&N or Borders, and then sell the books in my shop. A Win Win!

Recently was told I could only use cash or debit card at my local grocery store for gift cards. Wonder if that's growing more common.

Have moved my book shopping away from Amazon even though B&N sometimes ends up $2-3 more per transaction, as the bonus miles are worth the extra $.

It is now possible to earn miles for purchases at amazon.com through at least two airline shopping portals (US Airways and Hawaiian):
