I just started reading flyertalk a few weeks ago and had always dismissed the credit card offers for miles. I have simply been in the dark missing out on everything!

Now I read the forums everyday but see lots of dead offers that people keep beating to death. I just don't want to miss the next big deal (if there are any in this very sad year). Maybe someone knows of an RSS feed dedicated to only the most recent or spectacular events. I keep seeing people getting excited about old news.

For those who visit FT daily and conduct enough research on FT, there's no problem to spot old news.

There's no such feed. It's impossible to know, for instance, when an airline or hotel uploads a killer rate due to typo or a system glitch. Just remember to get your daily dosage of FT, you'll never be left out of any big deal.

Obtaining SWUs on *A

I am a newbie here and am wanting to find a way to obtain SWUs for *A. Are there purchase options?

I hope I didn't post this in the wrong forum.

If possible, please respond via email on this site.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to FlyerTalk. A few tips to make your stay more enjoyable.

1) Yes, purchase lots of tickets, fly, and earn the SWUs.

2) Asking people to respond via e-mail defeats the purpose of having an open discussion about issues related to flying.

Thank you

Since I am new, I did not want to ask an inappropriate question. But I understand of course that by buying tickets and flying these SWU are available after a certain level, but how can one obtain them sooner. Is there any way?

Thanks in advance

Each FT forum is its own RSS feed.

The FT Convention for RSS Feeds is 'http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/external.php?type=rss&forumids=xxx' This thread is in MiltesBuzz! forum #370 as indicated by the URL. Therefore to subscribe you would add a feed to 'http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/external.php?type=rss&forumids=370' in your RSS reader.
