first time poster: has anyone used Points.com
I've looked around the boards for a little while. I didn't know where I should post this.
but i have 10,000 miles or so with delta, that i'll never use. I'd like to swap them with another airline on points.com. but i never saw anything on this forum about points.com...so i wanted ot know if anyone else has done this. Thanks.

thanks. i did do a search and didn't see anything specifically about this site. I did some google searches and there were a couple negative things and a couple positive things, so i couldn't get a feel for things.
But you guys are always the best informed and i like getting your take. if this can stay on the board for a couple days, i'd appreciate it. Thanks again.

One of the more recent is a thread from Nov 2009, titled "Does anyone have any experience with Points.com?" I doubt the results can be any more specific than that.

Unless you are up for peanuts for your 10K Delta miles, I won't recommend Points.com for any swap. But that's just me.
Read more and you shall find everything you need to know about miles and points on FT. Good luck!
ps. If you need more tips for using FT search, you can read this sticky thread in Technical Issues Forum:

Unfortunately without the quotes it gives hundreds of completely irrelevant threads, and whilst it's possible the few useful ones are in there, finding them wouldn't be trivial.
Once you know how dependent the search is on "quotes" finding things becomes much easier...

If I needed to convert miles/points from one program to another, I'd probably check the online mileage converter at WebFlyer:
http://www.webflyer.com/programs/mileage_converter/
It's a useful link to keep, and I know it works for transfers to/from AA and Continental. But their list of FF programs isn't complete - interesting, but I didn't see Delta when I scrolled through the list of programs.

I am a new member, so I apologize if this question has been answered. I visited the link you provided and when I tried converting 10,000 Starwood to AAdvantage, it came out to 10,000.
How could the ratio be 1:1?
Thanks!
