Skyteam Lounge question
I wasn't sure where to post this thread since it pertains to a couple different airlines. Mods, please move if necessary.
I'm headed to Europe in a few days and we have a few flight segments that we purchased separately from our award tickets. The awards are in J so we don't have to worry about the lounges there. However, we have a few flight segments on Alitalia that we purchased in coach (ATH-FCO and VCE-IST).
I know that as a Delta PM/Skyteam Elite Plus I am granted access to the Alitalia lounges even when flying in coach, but I'm not sure if I need my Delta PM membership card. I only recently became PM and do not have my credentials yet. We are leaving on Tuesday so I may luck out with them arriving tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath. My Delta # is in the Alitalia reservation but I'm not sure if they can see my status on their computers or if that will suffice for lounge access.
Any advice?

Not sure
I remember a thread over a year ago and in asia, that no card meant no access. However, why don't you bring a print-out of your ff miles statement, which for Delta would show your current platinum status? Can't hurt to try.
Personally, I have always happened to have the card issued in time for my flights. Also, if you happen to still have an old NW plat card, I would bring that, too.

Unfortunately I only became PM through a status match so I have nothing showing SkyTeam Elite+ status.
