Site to find out seat availability
I am trying to find out how many seats are available on Air India flights, mostly for BOM - JFK sector. I tried www.seatcounter.com , but, that does not list Air India.
Is there any other site that would help me?
Thank you.

That is a very good suggestion, but, the hold time is very long. An internet site would be much faster.

What dates? Expertflyer (paid subscription required) has AI. I have a subscription that I might as well get some use out of before I cancel it.
For example, the availability for BOM-JFK tomorrow on AI 141 is:
F2 AR J4 C4 DR W4 Y4 B4 H4 K4 L4 M4 V4 GR QC
(Lots of 4s on that and all other AI flights--might be that 4 is the max their system will display and really means there's more than 4.)

Class availability for specific flights really isn't the latest frequent flyer program buzz, so not really MilesBuzz-appropriate.
There are threads on Seatcounter, Expertflyer, and KVS tool in the TravelBuzz forum.
And asking what systems display AI availability seems Airlines of India-appropriate.
I'll close this here, but not before sharing:
[KVS Availability Tool 5.1.2/Diamond - Apollo: Availability/ITN/US-MYP]
BOM Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji IN
JFK New York John F Kennedy Int'l NY US
MON 02 Nov 2009
Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability
--------- ------ ---- -------- ---- -------- --- -- --------------------------------------------
AI 141 BOM 01:30 JFK 07:20 77L 0 F2 A4 J4 C4 D4 W4 Y4 B4 H4 K4 L4 M4 V0 G0 Q0
AI 191 BOM 01:55 EWR 11:10 77W 1 F2 A4 J4 C4 D4 W4 Y0 B4 H4 K4 L4 M4 V0 G0 Q0
Note: I checked Worldspan availability and it matches. Sabre displays the non-stop with the same availability.
