If so, not worth it to me.

Liberty Mutual Insurance - Information Disclosure
We use consumer report information such as claims histories, driving records and credit-based insurance scores where permitted by law to provide an accurate quote and to determine the premium you pay for insurance coverage. An insurance score uses information from your credit report to help predict how often you are likely to file a claim and how expensive those claims will be. When we access your insurance score it has no impact on your credit rating. To assure the accuracy of the consumer report information we obtain, we use your Social Security Number. Your Social Security Number and insurance score are kept confidential, secure, and will not be resold or redistributed.

I agree with both that it is not worth it if they pull your credit report ... but that's not the case here ...

I completed the online form twice (Delta & AA) and was never asked nor have I given them my SS or my CA DL numbers.

Thanks for the link. Filled out a quote today. Hope the miles post smoothly.

Kalboz,

I think you missed the point.

1. The previous posters stated that this application process resulted in hard pulls on your credit report. The posters had examined their credit report and found the pulls. Presumably, the posters, like myself have daily access to their credit reports and found the hard pulls.

2. Are you stating that you examined your credit report (all three agencies) and found that Liberty Mutual did NOT pull your credit? I think (but am not certain) that you have not examined your credit reports for hard pulls from all three credit reporting agencies. Please examine your three credit reports and let us know the results.

If your not actually looking for new insurance I see no reason to give them your SS#. That being said, my quote (without SS#) was nearly double what I get from USAA.

OP: thanks for the easy miles!

Is it possible for them to do a hard or soft pull WITHOUT your SS#?

no hard pull here. i subscribe to a credit watch service and hard pull would have showed up by now and also they dont take ssn so cant see how they could do any kind of pull. no sign of miles yet though

Most promotions like this give out Delta "bonus" miles, which do not reset the clock.

Thanks for the clarification ... as I stated, there is no hard pull on my credit report for either transaction (Delta & AA) ... but as of now, the points are not posted yet

I can confirm that NO hard pull resulted from this offer BUT I did NOT provide SSN.

I'm assuming the AA miles will post at the end of the month?

How Long for Miles to Post??????

I received a quote, a little higher than what I am paying now. Does anyone know how long it takes the miles to post to your account? Or if not, who do we contact to receive them.
