Speedy?
I don't know the fare basis but speedy still shows KUL-ICN-LAX-YVR for $632.50 in business flying KE metal ICN-LAX and thru' ATL or even LAX-JFK (with UA PS segment as other have pointed out) to YYZ under $1000 with good availability. Getting DL metal (77L) tanspac is not easy though.
Would someone mind posting (or PMing) me what Speedy is?

^^ Any ideas on how to get SQ over the pacific? seems hard to pull off since you need the DL codeshare segment somewhere

You can't have the DL coded flight just anywhere you know! To use the DL fare you have to use a DL coded flight between the two IATA areas you are traveling between i.e. Area 3 and Area 1. You can't just pick a random carrier across the pacific and price it using a different carriers fare!

Then why didnt JFK-DPS require a DL codeshare all the way to Asia?
