Looking for a friend now... nothing in SEP available, right ?

I tried some dates but would like to reconfirm not to miss an opportunity.

Thanks,

I don't think this remaining ticket info is very reliable on PL. I booked our tickets when it indicated four available, then checked again for some friends (two hours later), same dates/flights, and it still said four tickets left.

anyone else's taxes being priced out at over $450? Tried several dates in March with some at $900 and the ones with a low fare had made up for it in tax...

I think that's PL's dirty, dirty lie that they use for marketing purposes. I booked for 11/08-11/09 last night, and it warned me of only four tickets available. Checked the exact same itinerary this morning, same dates, and still only four tickets available. Maybe they found another one in a drawer somewhere

Perhaps not, I don't check it, just post what the screen says.

A lot flight/seat availiability charts/websites show '4' as the maximum amount of seats in a bucket, whereas UA shows '9'.

This is an instance of that - evidently BDs availability shows '4' as the maximum number, therefore, PLs code threshold for showing the 'low seat' message is set too low for BD flights.

Bear in mind the BD fare class may map to a different, non-eligible UA fare class.
That is technically correct. However, I have had a contradictory experience: if there is NC space, sometimes you can reach a CSR who doesn't know you can't upgrade the UA-metal codeshare, and will do it for you (standard disclaimer: of course, don't call the CSR until the deal is dead!).

You're also right to point out that BD fare class is not necessarily equal to UA fare class!

Whatever CRS drives Priceline behind the scenes probably caps availability in a particular fare class at 4 seats for offline carriers. That's one of the most common defaults at which to cap inventory in a city pair availability display. The other two are 7 and 9. That's why if you had access to native Apollo or Sabre or whatever you'd often see availabilities like...
Y4 B4 H4 M4 K4 Q4
Y7 B7 H7 M7 K7 Q7
Y9 B9 H9 M9 K9 Q9
...even if the airline really has more than 4/7/9 seats for sale in that fare class.
