an odd question about same-day turn
Hi There,
I have been looking around on UA's website for a possible mileage run. I've never been on one, so please excuse the question if it has an obvious answer.
UA's website is showing a same day turn that would be physically impossible to make. To explain:
On Nov. 3, depart BWI - DEN - SJC arrive at 1018pm. Depart less than an hour later from OAK-IAD at 1115pm.
Now, obviously to get from one airport to the next in 57 minutes would be impossible. What would UA do if one actually booked an "impossible" itinerary on their site? Would they be obligated to re-route you somehow? Or would you be simply out of luck on arrival in SJC?
Many Thanks,
Brian

Yes, it was a R/T fare and the cheapest one on offer. Mainly I put the question out there out of curiousity. There seem to be a few better MR opportunities too SEA or PDX on the same day...I appreciate the responses, though.
