Mileage Run Seminar: Oct. 20, 2007 in Tucson, AZ

Seminar time: 10am to 4:30pm

(Socializing in the room 9:30 to 10)

Location: Valencia Library
202 W. Valencia Rd.
Tucson AZ
(520) 791-4531

Note: the library is 2 miles from the TUS Airport.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pre-seminar breakfast:

8:30am to 9:30am
La Fresita (Faster-type Mexican food)
45 W Valencia Rd
Tucson
(520) 294-1754

La Fresita is 1 1/2 mile from the airport and 1/2 mile from the library.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lunch plans: pizza and pop in the meeting room

The library allows us to bring in food; given the limited duration of the seminar, I suggest everyone chip in to order delivered pizza and continue to talk while we eat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dinner plans: to be determined and posted here a few days before the seminar.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This will be a 101 seminar so I will cover material that applies to all programs. Since a number of FTers have come onboard since the original seminar series, I am offering this to bring folks up to speed.

Thanks!

[Note: I request that no one record the seminar, and I ask that members of the media not cite or quote contents of the seminar without my express permission.]

Sounds great! Wouldn't PHX be cheaper for most people to fly into?

Drats

I've been waiting for a MR seminar (missed the one in SAN).

Wouldn't ya know, I'll be in Maui (thanks to the heads up from rosj about the MCO-OGG $278 fare). Otherwise I would have been at this one for sure!

LAS-TUS is $113.10 all-in on UA & US. I am ready to go - call me your first confirmed guest. Which hotel is free on BRG?

Terrific! I've been hoping you would do this. As I've said in another post, I'm a newbie...and have very little idea on how to put together a MR. So, I have a lot to learn. (Anyone want to mentor someone who is a DTW hostage?)

So, if there's room for a newbie...color me there on the 20th!

Thanks.

There's room for everyone. Plus, as a U of M alum (Go Blue!) I know DTW very well.

Re. PHX, I have school commitments that have me tied to Tucson-- as much as I'm willing to go somewhere to meet up with folks, my schedule that weekend won't allow-- as it is, Friday and Sunday will be work days for me. Where are you coming from, skchin? TUS fares are fairly on par with PHX from many domestic spots.

VJ:
Will there be a contest for the longest routing to TUS? I might reconsider my fairly direct routing

Umm.. sure

Should it be the longest routing? Or the most miles earned? If you fly AA via ORD and back, you qualify for the 25k AA bonus from just the single trip to PHX or Tucson.

As I said in the other thread, I purchased my ticket already. Now thanks to the Orbitz $50 coupon (72hrsave50), I've booked the hotel room as well.
