Around the World.
Hello All. I'm attempting to circumnavigate the globe using cash and points I've saved up with various hotel, airline, and rental car loyalty programs. I have a decent number of points saved. I guess I'm mostly interested in maximizing my point use, especially throughout europe and asia. One thing I'm particularly interested in finding out is if it is possible to use my points to book one-way flights. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for your help.

Oneworld awards won't help you in circumnavigating the globe, that is what RTW are for. You might want to do 2 separate trips, or use your miles for a RTW, dunno if it's worth it though.
One-way redemptions are only allowed with some programs, neither AA nor CO allow them, IIRC AS does. Outside the US, AF/KL, BD, BA, LH (in part) and others.

Read the RTW threads in the various Alliance forums, as those are going to give you the best information about RTW rewards. One comment about the CO 220K J award - it doesn't include CO's BusinessFirst service. For that one you have to pay the 280K F reward price.

Yes, oneworld awards ARE perfect for going around the world. I did it a few years ago for 130,000 miles in C on AA,CX, and BA. Essentially, they can be constructed as a series of one way flights circumnavigating the globe.
