Seat availability tool please...
Can someone please point me to the online tools that let you get a sense of the availability of seats on flights. I need to standby today for an earlier flight out of JFK on UAL.
Thanks so much for your help.

There is a limitation though: It up running for two hours, and then down for the next five in order to reduce traffic. But try it....

Or you can use http://flyaow.com/classual.htm . Select one way, the time at which you'd like to stand by, United as preferred airline, and you'll see the availability.

My new favorite:
www.itn.net
I had used this before and never seemed to quite get it. umguy recently patiently explained to me that I needed to click on "Display Preferences" (after registering first... I had never registered) and change my setting to "expert. Voila! Works perfect.
I want to go standby on Tues, RIC-SFO, to get on US metal and it showed lots of seats I hope will still be open! MY problem: my flight is looking sold out/over!
Now, do I hope for a bump and risk the dbl EQM?
Probably not.

Where do you click on united. com to see the fare class availability?
You can get direct access to the standard ITN (Amex) tool without having to click anything at:
http://flyaow.com/classamex.htm
You may also enjoy using the other tools that are available on the net that are highlighted at http://flyaow.com/class.htm
Cheers!

I'd like to standby on earlier flight on AA this Friday. I can't seem to get all those sites listed above to work. Can someone explain it step by step to me? I don't need to find a particular fare availibility, just any open seat will do.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Reward and upgrade seat availabilty tool
My PC crashed and I lost all my favorites and links. In the past I used a tool that gave me seat and class availability for all flights including reward and upgrade inventory. For some reason I can no longer find this anywhere. I've searched every post of this forum and others and still haven't found it. The site included an index describing the meaning of every code. Any suggestions?

Try this one - it's excellent. It takes seconds to install and works perfectly.
There is a limitation though: It up running for two hours, and then down for the next five in order to reduce traffic. But try it....

Thoughts or advice on this one? I'd LOVE to have a tool like this.

This site was mentioned a few days ago on FT:
www.seatcounter.com
Not sure how it works for all airlines. For UA, type in UA UA for the preferred airline and it comes up with award and upgrade availability.
