As low as €945 through an OTA - and layover times can be reduced to around 2 hours both ways: see example

If booked directy with OmanAir: 1 free date after change included (no change fee)

Assuming business lite fare availability, you can stagger the return to avoid the 14hr layover on the return to give you a more useful 28hr layover and a useful full day to see some of the sights of Muscat.

December exclusions
Great fare for a decent line for a lot of air time.

Checked it out as a Christmas holiday, but the lowest fares seem to end about 11 December and pick up in January.

1 free Change, means 100% free to change date or you have to pay differences in prices, because it is SALE prices right now? What do you think?

How would the change work? I assume you’d have to pay for the fiat increase for a return date further out?

latest I’m seeing for a return is Feb 5… I need one in May or June. 😅🤓

Looks like it. Google Flights still shows the ~1100 EUR prices in the calendar but then reprices to 2000+ once you start selecting flights.

Generally, if you change before you fly your first sector, the requested change will be priced at the rates available that day.
If you request a change after flying the first sector, typically changes are priced at the fares available when you booked. So in this case if you can find availability in the same discounted fare bucket in theory there would be no fare difference, but its a big assumption that the cheapest business fare buckets (which this is using) would have any availability on the day(s) that you wish to rebook to at that stage.

I was seeing availability on the cheapest fares through until end of March (not Feb 5) but you're right that this fare availability appears to end March 2024

That's odd, on ITA it showed the fare as being 430€ RT, now it's 1830€ RT. The fare was never zero.

Saw it this morning at the website of the airline and planned to book it this afternoon .
Glad that at least it was not from my home airport because otherwise now I would feel very stupid.
